OpenMetadata

Open-source data catalog and governance platform used by enterprise data teams. I ship production UI - landing-page customization, shared component systems, and frontend quality - in a codebase with 15k+ GitHub stars.

Customizable landing page

Problem: The home experience was one-size-fits-all. Admins could not arrange widgets, layout, or asset discovery to match how their teams actually work.
What I owned: Shipped the landing-page revamp, customization layout, widget selection modal, and small/medium widget system in React and TypeScript - including schema and UI work across a large multi-file change.
Result: Admins can now compose a home page from widgets. Follow-up work added asset-count filters, activity-feed support, and polish from product feedback.

Shared UI component library

Problem: Fifteen-plus product modules were reinventing the same patterns. Delivery slowed and the UI drifted from screen to screen.
What I owned: Architected and shipped a reusable React + TypeScript component library, then rolled it through existing modules so new work started from shared primitives instead of one-off markup.
Result: Standardized patterns across those modules and cut per-feature frontend time by about 20%.

Frontend quality & performance

Problem: Critical flows lacked automated coverage, so UI regressions reached production. Key pages also shipped a heavier initial bundle than they needed.
What I owned: Built a Playwright suite around the paths that matter, and applied code splitting, lazy loading, and tighter re-renders. Same Webpack model I wrote about publicly.
Result: About 30% fewer UI-related production regressions, a smaller initial bundle, and better Lighthouse scores on core product pages.
